Age & learning fit
A tradition for every generation
Children, teens, adults, and older learners are welcome. Ming has taught students from age five to 78. Around age seven is generally recommended for young beginners, while children closer to age five can be considered individually based on attention, family support, and readiness to practice.

Technique serves the tradition
Chinese instrumental music is more than a set of notes. Lessons connect physical technique with phrasing, ornamentation, timbre, and the cultural setting of the repertoire.
Ming’s experience with the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe includes cultural exchanges, concert-hall appearances, diplomatic programs, and large public events across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
Instruction can be offered in English or Mandarin Chinese. Absolute beginners, experienced musicians exploring a new tradition, and performers preparing a specific work are all welcome.
